Point # 3 : Attracting your customers - Tips to share

It's been two days since my last post. I have been quite busy lately trying to reorganize this blog and adding new features. What do you think? Too much or too little?

Anyway, last time we talk about planning and defining your niche for your products or services to be offered to the general public or to a specific target audience. Now, the question is, how do you make people to buy/get products or services from your site not from the other site.

We talk about product differentiation, creating unique services, market trend analysis but that do not necessarily bring customer to get the product or services from your site. Don't you agree?

Well, the key is here to make your presentation, I mean your offering look genuine, honest and have good credibility. Now how do you do that? Well there a couple of tips that I like to share with you here.

1. Build trust with your customer

OK. What do I by mean building trust with your customer or potential customers? Why do I say your customer and potential customer? You need to maintain your existing customers so that they DON'T go to other SELLER and at the same time attract new customer as well. Now do you understand...

Now, do you buy things from a stranger or from someone you trust? A high probability that you would go for someone you trust because you know he or she will not cheat you right (note, I mention a high probability). So, try to make you product or service offering looks believable. Some of the worst thing you might do that you want to avoid can be found here.

2. Show your credibility

Sounds simple enough. If you are selling vitamins or herbs, make sure you know something about it. Let me rephrase that. Make sure you know a lot, not something, about it. What are they made of, what it will do to you, any side effects and so on. Make sure your audience able to relate to you and come to a conclusion that you are expert or at least know what are you talking about.

If you are not selling products, you could also share your knowledge of certain areas. Providing useful information will also bring customer to your site.

3. Create a sense of need in your customer

It is very hard to sell something to someone who doesn't want it. The trick is, and this is most often used by car salesperson, is to create a sense of need. When you walk into a car showroom, you don't even have a feeling to buy a car. As you look around the car, the car salesperson began to pitch how good the car, how it is save on fuels and so forth and you began to feel doubt about your own car and start to feel that you might want to have a new car instead. By suggesting problems to you, you mind began to think how to solve the problem and that's how you felt that you should buy a new car. Well, this is an example of creating a sense of need by proposing a problem. Of course there are ways to do it.

Well, those are some of the tips I can share with you now.

If you have any comments, please feel free to post it here. I'm really interested to listen to your thought as well.

Till next time, happy surfing.
